This extremely, slow growing "palm" is actually a succulent and related to Agave. It does well as a houseplant as long as it has bright light, planted in the landscape in well draining soil, or in containers in a well-draining Cactus and Succulent Soil. Mature plants will bloom in the spring, presenting showy, white clusters of flowers. Fertilize in spring with 'Dynamite for Cactus and Succulents'.
