Sea Grapes are grown as trees or shrubs. They are most commonly found along beaches actively preventing dune erosion and acting as a windbreak for coastal homes. Female plants produce fruit that is edible and ripens in the fall. It can be eaten raw or made into jelly, and is said to taste similar to a Muscadine Grape. Plant using a Success Kit and fertilize in spring and fall with Espoma Plant-tone.
